Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Eye Microsurgery was established in accordance with Decree of President of Republic of Uzbekistan #PF-3214 dated February 26, 2003 by Resolution of Cabinet of Ministers #140 dated March 17, 2003 and Order of Ministry of Health #135 dated March 24, 2003 on the basis of Tashkent Regional Center for Eye Microsurgery.
The center has been operating since January 2007 in a new, completely renovated building at 14 on Kichik Khalka Yuli Street in Uchtepa district.
Currently, the center consists of two treatment and diagnostic buildings and is fully equipped with modern high-tech diagnostic and treatment equipment.
Medical services provided by the Center and its branches to patients in the privileged category under special orders are provided free of charge and covered from the state budget. The treatment plan for patients in need of social protection, adopted annually within the framework of the State Program, is fully and efficiently implemented.
MCC Effort
Together with local partners, as well as representatives of the world famous Japanese manufacturer of ophthalmic equipment Topkon, a concept was developed for equipping the center with innovative medical equipment.
Currently, the center has fully functional ophthalmological rooms. There are divisions for routine diagnostics, as well as expert diagnostics, including the use of optical core tomography.
MCC continues to cooperate with its regional partner, MediTech. Joint consultations and educational activities are carried out.

For the supply of medical equipment to the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is required to undergo a certification procedure. EC or FDA certificates do not allow you to import devices into the country
Installation and training
MCC invited and organized the manufacturer representatives presence to carry out the installation of equipment and train doctors.
To support the training activities, a translation and adaptation of training materials for healthcare professionals in the Republic of Uzbekistan was prepared.
