Specialists of the City Health Center No. 1 are recognized as the best family doctors. This center deserves the attention of the State and, to the extent possible, is funded.

Tajikistan is a not rich country. Here they live by old traditions and in state institutions they are reluctant to invest in innovative methods.

However, doctors find opportunities to be trained. Sometimes in private centers you can find much more modern equipment. And since doctors can work simultaneously in different clinics, modern practices come to all offices over time.

Having met with representatives of the equipment distributor at one of the medical exhibitions, MCC was able to interest new partners in the opportunity to renovate the medical office. An agreement was reached to equip the ophthalmology room with an optical coherence tomograph 3D OCT-1 (Topcon). Also included is a slit lamp SL-2G.

Challenge

Find a compromise between budget and quality

The budget of a small patriarchal country is calculated based on its closest neighbors. Tajikistan borders on four countries. In the north, Tajikistan has a border with Kyrgyzstan, in the east with China, in the south it has a common border with Afghanistan, and in the west Tajikistan borders on Uzbekistan.

Have you ever tried to supply world famous equipment to a country hidden deep in the heart of Central Asia. In a country located in the foothills of the Pamirs and not having access to the sea. In Central Asia, it is the smallest state in terms of area.

We can observe the progress of medical equipment in the same room. In the near corner you will find equipment from the eighties of the last century, and in the center and near the doctor’s table, the most modern slit lamp and optical coherence tomography

In this project, MCC organized the purchase of equipment on the ExWorks terms.  The regional partner received the equipment from the manufacturer’s warehouse in Europe and independently delivered it to the republic. Customs and tax formalities were completed by the partner.

Solution

Local companies in Tajikistan do not have direct contacts with the manufacturer. MCC organized an intermediate hub at its own facilities, concluding a tripartite supply agreement between the customer and the manufacturer.
